Interesting New Treatment Idea for Treating ADHD

Here is something interesting, and a possible opportunity for you and your family.

Last year I had the opportunity to consult with the Akili Interactive team as they prepared to introduce their new program, Endeavor™- A Digital Attention Treatment. It is designed to help parents support their kids with ADHD. During my three days with them, I had the opportunity to learn about the research and science behind their program.

I walked away intrigued and optimistic that what the Akili Interactive team was developing, might increase children’s awareness of what they are paying attention to. It can also give parents a vehicle for discussion and evaluation.

Their program, Endeavor™, is delivered through a video game experience. So far, it has been evaluated in over 600 children with ADHD across five clinical studies. The program is designed to help you monitor changes and improvements in your child’s behavior as they engage with a specially designed game.
Akili has been working with the FDA on approval for Endeavor™ to be used as a prescription treatment for use in pediatric ADHD. This week, the FDA has issued guidance for the emergency use of certain digital therapeutics in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Endeavor™ is one of those therapeutics. This allows Akili to provide Endeavor™ to children and caregivers right now in parallel with their current FDA filing.

Given this opportunity, Akili Interactive is waiving the cost of Endeavor™ for families for a 3-month period beginning this week. It is available to qualified families with children diagnosed with ADHD and struggling with chronic attention issues and who are willing to commit to following the Endeavor™ instructions for use. (at this moment, Endeavor™ is only available in the U.S. on iOS devices)

To check if you are eligible, parents of children with ADHD can visit Akili’s enrollment site at

Please let me know if you decide to take advantage of this program.  I am interested to hear your feedback. Email Cindy
