INTRO: Parenting a child or teen with ADHD and/or Executive Function Challenges
usually involves dealing with tremendous stress, confusion, and questions.

The Truth: Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD or ADD) is a neurobiological condition that brings many challenges beyond the simplistic diagnosis of Hyperactivity, Impulsivity, and Inattentiveness.
Just as some children have trouble learning how to read, children with ADHD/Executive Function Challenges often have difficulty tolerating frustration, being flexible, and solving their problems independently. Like learning to read, your child needs to and can learn and develop these skills. And yes – even as teenagers!
Topics
You Will Learn to
- Reduce the ARGUING, STRESS, and DEFIANCE
- Increase your child’s self-motivation and confidence
- Build your child’s resilience, flexibility, grit, & perseverance
- Improve your child’s trust and connection with you so that they will talk WITH you, instead of AT you.
- Help your child reach their FULL potential.
- Bring back peace to your relationship.
Parents often take signs of disrespect, lack of effort, and defiance as indicators that they need to be stricter and have tighter boundaries. This is often ineffective and risks creating more chaos and stress.

Typical rewards and punishments (which most parents find don’t work anyway) don’t get to the core issues that are causing the challenges. The result? Transferable skills are not learned, and systemic change is not accomplished.
DISCUSSION: Parenting can be stressful, especially when your child struggles with ADHD, Executive Function, ODD, or Learning challenges.

Is there constant and consistent conflict and chaos in your home?
Are you struggling with parenting a child with ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, or Executive Functioning issues?
Do you need help setting boundaries and motivating your child and staying calm when trying to connect with them?
Are you worried that your child won’t reach their potential?
We now have Parent Coaches offering the Calm and Connected© Workshop & coaching parents one-on-one in the US, Canada, Kuwait, Dubai, China, Saudi Arabia, and Sweden. In addition to English, the workshop is offered in Spanish and Chinese. More and more, parents worldwide recognize that ADHD/EF Parent Coaching (one-on-one or in a group workshop) is a valuable way to help them learn to best support their children
